Before Inayat Had a Name
It began with nights we never wanted to end.
Some of our fondest memories of Pakistan are late at night, sitting together long after the day should have ended. Someone would put the chai on. Cups would make their way around the room. One story became another, laughter grew louder, and somehow no one was in a hurry to leave.
This feeling beyond the chai, and everything that happened around it, is where Inayat began.
Why “Inayat”
Inayat or Anayat (عنایت) is an Urdu/Arabic word that carries a sense of grace and care.
Our chai house represents exactly this, something generous and unhurried. A place where the chai is delicious, but the company is what brings you back.
We also believe in sourcing our products and tea with Inayat. Not only is our tea ethically sourced from farmers in Nepal, but our cups, both hot and cold, along with straws, are all compostable and eco-friendly.
We believe sharing great tastes and experiences stems from caring for the planet and people that cultivate these flavors.
The Heart of Inayat
When our Nano(grandmother) passed away, our family found itself gathering. There was grief, of course, but there was also chai. So much chai.
Those cups carried some of our most cherished memories- late-night stories about her, followed by laughter in the middle of tear-streaming faces.
Chai was an experience we shared with her, and later also became a part of how we remembered her.
Inayat is our way of carrying that feeling forward.
For our Nano.
For the warmth she gave us, and for every table that feels fuller with people and chai.
Our Table is Still Growing
We’re beginning with pop-ups around Aurora and Denver, bringing a twist to the flavors we grew up with and the feeling we never want to lose.
Wherever Inayat goes next, the idea stays the same:
warm cups, open tables, and a reason to stay a little longer.
